Here we go again

 My gram

Hey yall,

Today we talk about the insecurity of photographic truth. I find it interesting to compare both digital and analog images. The reading describes how digital photography (the process) is easier and the images can be easily manipulated... which takes away from their raw documentation type form. No longer is there this (seems like romanticized) process of taking photos that truly capture real life. Instead images are everywhere and are sprinkled with false notions of real life

Though I also find this notion also interesting from our reading:

"It's typical to be highly public and private at the exact same time"(103)

And I agree with this notion that everyone has some form of personal filtering that happens when they post online. That is, individuals will curate what they post to enhance a specific set of imagery or idea to be the "truth". That leads to the question of is social media truthful? I think that what is kept from social media might even count an "non-knowledge" to everyone else... as the true form of an individual is mysterious and alluring (it's like why people watch Keeping up with the Kardashians).

This week for my own posts I tried to delve into photo editing a bit (just with like contrast and normal iphone editing). Anywho, I mainly tried to have just images without a full person like my previous posts and to make them seem more anonymous and add to the "nonknowledge" mystery.

this one is the one i edited... can you tell? probably

Anyways see ya
